BIO
Ascending from the make-believe streets of the northwest Chicago burbs in early 2004, ONE LIGHT OUT has been offering escapist rock and roll, keeping it real in the land of lies with their unique fusion of west-cost / mid-90s Chicago style punk rock. Combining influences such as Bad Religion, Face to Face, NOFX, and No Use for a Name, One Light Out has managed to create a distinctive hybrid of punk by incorporating reckless, aggressive life-size guitar, complex and manic 2/3 part harmonies, thunderous percussion and menacing melodies.

HISTORY OF ONE LIGHT OUT
ONE LIGHT OUT was originally founded in the summer of 2002 by Dave Kneip, Mike Roscoe, and Martin Zadrozny. Martin passed in January '04 and One Light Out came to a grinding halt. Later that year, Mike & Dave ran into an old friend, guitarist/DJ Dan Kolarik at a local dive. Finally, Mike's shitty basement, after just recently being used as a padded room for taking slapshots and passing out drunk, suddenly started looking like a functional band room. The trio then began their search for a drummer, and came across another old drinking buddy and grease monkey, Brian Poteracki, who was playing at local dives with an alternative cover band. The four of us finally solidified under the name ONE LIGHT OUT, which we decided to carry on for Chin (Martin).
LAST COUPLE YEARS
We first emerged in the scene back in February 2005 when we played an off-beat hotel dungeon in the fields of Kankakee, IL, where Brian decided to rent a 100 ft moving van for like a $1000 to move our massive amount of equipment which consisted of a few guitars a couch, beer, Jager, porn and a drumset. We got off on a pretty good foot when we got second place in a battle of the bands for Warped Tour, which we probably should of won but we drink too much. Our second show was at Shark City in Bloomingdale, IL, where Brian threw his shirt into the crowd at the end of the show and they threw it right back along with his drumsticks. Few months later we got sponsored by a T-Shirt company called Misconduct Clothing after gigging at a local dive called Penny Road Pub in Barrington, IL which was fun to brag about for a few months. Later that year we gigged-out with some of the more recognizable, "respectable" names in Chicago; Allister, Local H and Much the Same to name a few at venues like Double Door, Beat Kitchen, Abbey Pub, Elbo Room, Subterranean and Logan Square Auditorium.
In May 2006, we released our debut full length CD, which unanimously became our self titled "black" album. The disc included ten new songs and two re-recorded songs from our first demo (which totally sucked) which happend to be the song "Monday", a little ditty that Dave & Roscoe had been toying with for about a decade and "One More Score", a track that Danny wrote while thinking of ways to ditch his slutty girlfriend. If you would like to know more about the CD...
BUY IT! We're really poor and need some support
Anyway, here it is, 2007 and we're older, fatter, balder and are still unsigned playing dives and getting drunk, which really ain't so bad... Shit.. We really do take this stuff seriously, and we love PUNK ROCK, so give us a hand buy a disc or a shirt or something and spread the word about OLO. AND COME TO SOME FUCKING SHOWS... We love you.
GET TO KNOW OLO...
